Data Scientist (m/f/d)

At FREE NOW we are solving key problems related to urban transportation and shaping the future of mobility. We are keen on hiring a Data Scientist (m/f) to build smart product features based on machine-learning models. The candidate must be data-driven problem solver who understands and execute the organization's strategies and goals to answer critical business questions by leveraging and synthesizing the large volume and variety of data.

The Data Science team is a cross disciplinary team working on end-to-end customer facing products. The team focuses on the data behind multi pronged challenges in mobility markets, few of them include pricing, demand prediction, surge pricing.

Your role:

• Works with an extensive variety of data with innovative analytical techniques in order to drive the decision making in the company specifically around what features are developed into our products.
• Design and productionize advanced predictive models for various mobility problems in our data driven product development
• You will develop and evaluate A/B test experiments along with Multi-Armed Bandit for problem solving strategy selection
• Make machine learning models and data pipelines available via low-latency, high performant APIs
• Support preparation of internal/external, structured/unstructured data sets to build/rebuild/refresh predictive models
• Communicate results and recommendations to the all levels of the company including senior management
• Working closely with our software developers and data engineers to create and capture data to allow modelling and analysis

Your profile:

You are a problem solver, detail-oriented and self-motivated who thrives in a fast-paced, highly dynamic international environment, combining technical, product, business and leadership perspectives. Further key aspects of your profile are:

• A Bachelor or Master or Phd degree in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of industry experience in predictive modeling and machine learning
• Experience of creation and evaluation of predictive models (Supervised/Unsupervised/Reinforcement) for real business problems.
• Experience with manipulating large or complex databases, developing appropriate data models, tracking and evaluating patterns and outcomes, and applying relevant analytical and statistical methods for predictive modeling
• Able to write production level code, which is well-written and explainable
• Knowledge and experience of writing and tuning SQL
• Customer-focused data science with excellent skills in storytelling.
• Experience with modern CI/CD, monitoring and alerting tools is a plus
• Experience with the AWS stack is a plus
