Unlock’n’Roll

Head to the 2-wheels tab in our app to find your eScooter on the map. Use the info on the scooter to make sure you’ve got the right one (they sometimes come in packs). You can also scan a scooter’s QR code. Unlock it with the app and you’re good to go!

Safety is key

  • ALWAYS wear a helmet.
  • Never scoot on highways or motorways.
  • Pay attention to local signage and stay on bike lanes when possible.
  • Don’t drink and scoot ❌. You can always switch tabs and get a taxi instead.

Starting your scooter & speeding up

Kick the kickstand up, step on the deck with one foot and push off with the other. Then keep both feet as you begin to move. Gently press the throttle handle (under your right handlebar) to speed up.

Yellow means slower

In Tricity in some areas, your scooter will automatically slow down to comply with local laws. These are slow zones and are marked in yellow on your map.

Park mode ON

If you need to make a stop, open your app and tap ‘Park’. When you’re ready to go again just tap ‘Continue rent’. Take your time though! When in park mode, reduced rates are applied.

Ready to slow down?

To slow down, release your throttle handle and gently press the brake handles (both handlebars feature a brake). Careful not to be too firm, or you’ll stop immediately.

When you’re finished

To end your trip, park the eScooter in a designated area (look out for signs in your local area, or check the app) and tap the ‘End rental’ button. Be sure to tap it right away, as your trip is charged by the minute. Be a kind human being and NEVER block sidewalks, bike lanes or driveways.

No parking areas

Some areas are marked in red on your map. This means you can't end your rental there. Check your map before you start your trip to find a parking spot.

Mandatory parking zones are designated in blue on your map. Before starting your trip, check if there’s one close to your destination.

Show off those parking skills

We will ask you to take a photo of your parked Dott before ending your rental. It’s quick and easy! We’ll take you through every step. Make sure that your scooter is in a designated parking zone and that it doesn’t block sidewalks, bike lanes or driveways.
