What are the requirements to get the FREENOW incentive and how does it work?What are the requirements to get the FREENOW incentive and how does it work?
- Taxi drivers participating in the promotion will receive a 2% commission reduction on trips completed with FREENOW. This reduction will be valid for 12 months and will be applied directly to your weekly invoice.
- The promotion is reserved exclusively for taxi drivers who, as of May 24, 2024, do not have an electric vehicle registered in their FREENOW account.
- To participate in the promotion, taxi drivers must complete the "Go electric with FREENOW" form.
- The promotion is valid until 30 September 2024 and applies to the first 30 taxi drivers who join.
- Membership of the "Brand FREENOW on your taxi" program is a necessary condition to benefit from the "Go Electric with FREENOW" program. The "Brand FREENOW on your taxi" program offers a series of benefits which can be consulted on the web page dedicated to the initiative. In case of non-acceptance of the "Brand FREENOW on your taxi" program, the "Go Electric with FREENOW" program and its benefits will be automatically terminated.
- The vehicle purchased must have an autonomy (WLTP)* greater than or equal to 400 km;
- You will have until September 30, 2024 to provide proof of purchase and/or register your electric taxi and register it in your FREENOW account. Furthermore, when updating your vehicle within the FREENOW App for taxi drivers, you will have to go to the office to show off your new electric vehicle, where the office is available, or you will have to send a video via email to highlight the details of the vehicle.

Electric motors are much more efficient. With traditional cars it is necessary to spend on average €10.9 per 100 km, whereas with electric cars only €3.7 per 100 km is enough. On average a taxi driver travels 50 thousand km per year and the average saving is €3600 per year.
Furthermore, another significant advantage of purchasing an electric vehicle is the exemption from paying car tax for five years starting from the date of registration. At the end of this period, you will pay a tax equal to 25% of the amount for the corresponding petrol vehicles.

An electric car has no clutch, oil, filters or timing belts... so its maintenance is much cheaper. Furthermore, thanks to the regenerative braking of the electric motor, changing the brake pads will be a distant memory.
As an indication, we have calculated a saving of at least 25% compared to a hybrid vehicle, which can mean more than 1,200 euros in 5 years and 300,000 kilometres.
