Schedule of Fees (Intermediation Fees)

This schedule of fees represents the ‘Price List’ as such term is defined in the General Terms and Conditions (FREE NOW Procurement Framework Agreement) for Taxi Contractors/Drivers for the Republic of Ireland (the “Operator GTCs”), available here.

Effective from 18/09/2023

 Intermediation Fees - SPSV Licenced Taxis:

The intermediation fee charged by FREE NOW in respect of trips completed by SPSV licensed taxis shall be calculated as follows: 

• 15% (inclusive of standard VAT at 23% (or such other rate as may apply from time to time)) of each Assigned Claim* on all standard bookings made via the FREE NOW app;
• 15% (inclusive of standard VAT at 23% (or such other rate as may apply from time to time)) of the total amount received from a passenger by a driver on all standard bookings made via the FREE NOW app and discharged by that passenger via cash payment**;
• 2% (inclusive of standard VAT at 23% (or such other rate as may apply from time to time)) of each Assigned Claim* on ‘Pay with FREE NOW’*** payments; and
• A fixed fee of €2.00 (inclusive of standard VAT at 23% (or such other rate as may apply from time to time)) per trip when notified with a hotel icon (in addition to the standard fee set out at nos. 1 or 2 above) for certain hospitality trips (hotels, restaurants & commercial premises).

Intermediation Fees - SPSV Licenced Hackneys & Limousines (“Premium Bookings”):

The intermediation fee charged by FREE NOW in respect of trips completed by SPSV licensed Hackneys & Limousines  shall be calculated as follows: 

• [25%] (inclusive of standard VAT at 23% (or such other rate as may apply from time to time)) of the Assigned Claim* on all Premium Bookings made via the FREE NOW app;
• [25%] (inclusive of standard VAT at 23% (or such other rate as may apply from time to time)) of the total amount received from a passenger by a driver on all standard bookings made via the FREE NOW app and discharged by that passenger via cash payment**; and
• [25%] (inclusive of standard VAT at 23% (or such other rate as may apply from time to time)) on ‘Pay with FREE NOW’ payments.

* ‘Assigned Claim’ as defined at Clause 5.1 of the Operator GTCs (excluding any gratuity, which is currently exempt from these procurement fees).

** The intermediation fee due to FREE NOW in respect of trips settled via cash payment shall be deducted by FREE NOW from the aggregate amount due to the Transport Operator (as defined in the TO GTCs) in respect of Assigned Claims (being the ‘Operator Fees’ as defined in the Operator GTCs). 

*** 'Pay with FREE NOW' means any trips not booked by passengers via the FREE NOW services, but paid for using the FREE NOW app. Such trips (also known as “hop-on trips”) include trips that are hailed by a passenger on the street and paid for using the FREE NOW app. Such facility may or may not be available to passengers in your region. 

Transport Operators may be subject to other charges or deductions from Operator Fees where FREE NOW is entitled to effect such charges or make such deductions in accordance with the terms of the Operator GTCs.
