Ready to take your first trip on a Cooltra eBike, but not sure how to get started? You’re in the right place...

Find your Cooltra eBike on the map and tap to start the rental. Unlock it with the app by sliding "Start the rental". 

After a few seconds, the yellow lever that locks the rear wheel will lift and the chain will also be unlocked.

Ready to hit the open road, follow these steps and you’re good to go...

1. A few seconds after unlocking, the yellow lever that locks the rear wheel will lift up and the chain will also be unlocked.
2. Untie the chain and wrap it around the saddle. Make sure that it’s well fixed and that it doesn’t interfere with your pedaling.
3. You can now adjust the saddle to the height you need, jump on, and start riding.

The bike has an electric pedal assistance system; as soon as you start pedaling, it will be activated and the bike will go faster. Between this pedal assistance and the gears (find them on the right handlebar) no hill will be too steep for you to conquer :)

• Be attentive: watch out for large vehicles, do not drive in blind spots and always be focused and aware of your surroundings, the traffic and pedestrians.
• Please obey local traffic laws and use bike lanes where possible. 
• Do not drink and ride.

Want to do some quick grocery shopping or grab a coffee during your rental? No problem. You can put the eBike in park mode. Just pull over, open the FREENOW app and tap ‘Park’ for the active rental on screen. When you’re ready, simply tap ‘Continue trip’ and hit the road again.

Parking spot:

To end your trip, park the eBike inside the area marked on the map. Push the kickstand down. Make sure to find a suitable spot for your eBike - it is required to be parked in designated bike areas next to “U” shape bike stands (local authorities may charge you a fine if you don’t follow these parking rules).

Tie the eBike with the chain and push down the black latch over the rear wheel.

Then position the yellow lever between the wheel spoke, press and lock it. 

Once you’ve locked the yellow lever, you can end your ride. Open the app and tap the 'End rental' button.
