Uploading your documents

Uploading your documents is easy, but not immediate. So make sure you have enough time and don’t need to get somewhere straight off. If you do, open your FREE NOW app, and get a [taxi or private car] instead

How to get started

When you tap for the first time on a vehicle that requires a driving licence, you’ll get a pop-up screen asking you to upload your documents and add your address.

Uploading your documents

Make sure you have your driving licence and ID at hand. If you don’t, wait until you have it to take the picture.

⚠️ Heads up! You won't be able to use old pictures, screenshots or take a picture of a picture.

Once you’re ready, you’ll be asked to take a picture of both sides (front and back) of your document, and aselfie to verify it’s really you — don’t worry, we’re careful with your data! Cheese :)

When finished, you’ll see your driving licence is “Under verification”. This can take up to 3 minutes, so make sure to add your address while you wait!

Tips to get the best shot

Make sure the lighting is good

The image should not be blurry

We want to see your info, not your fingers ☝️

It should be a real picture of your document, not an old file or image

Rejected documents

Make sure you follow the tips above to get the perfect shot. Otherwise, your documents may be rejected.

Don’t stress! You have 3 attempts to upload your documents. Try again, and don’t forget to follow our tips! ⬆️

⛈ Not the best time to take a picture? Wait for the right moment or find a better place to take it!

If your document gets rejected 3 times, you’ll get to a screen with a contact form. Fill it in and someone from our team will reach out to you as soon as possible. They’ll help you figure out the problem!
